About Robert Kelly, DMD
Dr. Robert Kelly was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. Dr. Kelly attended dental school at Boston University, graduating in 2005 with honors Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Kelly enjoys all general, restorative, periodontal, and cosmetic procedures. He especially enjoys being a family dentist and getting to know people of all ages, different places, and walks of life. He has been licensed in Oregon since 2008 and is a member of the American and Oregon Dental Associations. He actively participates in study clubs at OHSU and various learning/training opportunities around the country. Dr. Kelly is married to Aimee, who grew up in the same small town, and they have two boys and a girl. Dr. Kelly loves the Pacific Northwest and decided on this area to settle down and raise a family. He enjoys hiking, camping, travelling, cooking, photography, playing the guitar, surfing, snowboarding, volunteering in the community, and most of all spending time with his family!

Andra Fondersmith
Dental Hygienist
Andra has been an Oregon resident for most of her life and married her high school sweetheart Nick in 2011. They had two wonderful kids together, Leo and Charlotte, after which she decided to pursue Dental Hygiene. Andra graduated with her Associates of Dental Hygiene in 2021 from Mt Hood Community College and then went on to pursue a Bachelors of Dental Hygiene and graduated Magna Cum Laude from OIT in 2022. She strives to make each patient feel comfortable and prioritized. Andra's first joy in life is spending time with her family and her Corgi, Ollivander. In her off time, Andra enjoys reading, hiking, and plays recreational softball.
Angela Beylund
Dental Hygienist
Angela has been with McKenzie Dental since 2005 and soon after fell in love with the community and beautiful mountain setting. Angela entered the field in 1996 as a dental assistant until she was accepted into the dental hygiene program in 2003. As a hygienist, she is constantly striving to improve her skills and learn new technologies to benefit her patients. Angela’s love of animals prompted her to start McKenzie Dental’s Annual Pet Food Drive, which benefits local needy pets. She enjoys reading, camping, photography, exploring Portland as well as knitting and bee keeping. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her family, husband Chris and son Holden.
Brittany Petronek
Dental Assistant
Brittany graduated from Sandy High School. Not long after, she enrolled in the dental assistant program at Concorde Career College in Portland and graduated as an EFDA/EFODA certified dental assistant. She did her externship with McKenzie Dental in 2007 and has been there ever since. Brittany has lived in Clackamas County most of her life. She and her husband Jason were married in 2006 and they welcomed their first child, Aubree, into the world in 2011, and Autumn in 2015. In her spare time, she enjoys camping and spending time with family.
Lisa Cavallaro
Front Office Coordinator
Lisa joined our team in 2023. She comes to us with over 20+ years of dental experience. She loves working with patients to ensure they have a positive experience at every visit. She enjoys spending time getting to know each patient and assisting them in all aspects of their dental care. When not working, she loves spending time with her husband Ed on their property projects, goats, and traveling. She also enjoys the outdoors, playing with her dog Otis, and spending time with her nine grandchildren.
Michelle Grimmer
Dental Hygienist
Michelle spent most of her childhood in Sandy and graduated from Sandy High in 2001. She then attended Mt. Hood Community College and received an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene in June 2007. Shortly after graduation, she joined the McKenzie Dental Team and found her home. Michelle and her husband, BJ, completed their family with two children, Isaac and Cierra. They love spending time outdoors and enjoy hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, and exploring new areas of the world.
Trish Brewick
Dental Assistant
Trish has been with McKenzie Dental since 2020. She grew up in SE Portland and graduated from Concorde College in 2012 as an EFDA/EFODA Dental Assistant. She married her husband Rod in 2011 and moved to Welches in 2017 with their 4 dogs. Together, she and Rod share 11 kids and 30 grand children! Trish enjoys spending her time with family, camping, reading, and exploring the outdoors.
Veronica Lamer
Dental Hygienist
Veronica graduated from the dental hygiene program at Mt. Hood Community College in 2010. After moving back to her home town of Sandy, she joined the team at McKenzie Dental in 2018. She loves the tight knit family atmosphere and enjoys working at an office with such high quality, compassionate patient care. Veronica and her husband Chris have two children, Peter and Charlotte. Her hobbies include traveling, gardening and cooking.
Our Office
McKenzie Dental was founded in 1974 by the McKenzie family and it was the first dental practice established in Welches. A new office building was constructed in 1997 that was custom built to be a comfortable and inviting place for dental care. Dr. Robert Kelly and the team at McKenzie Dental are proud to offer a warm and caring environment where we strive to treat everyone like family. We listen to understand each person’s values and needs to tailor optimal, individual care. We are also proud to offer the best treatment available for family, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. We utilize advanced technology and training, including digital X-rays for less exposure to patients, to working with the newest materials and best dental laboratories available to us. We are a general dentist office serving individuals and families in the Mt Hood area, including the communities of Welches, Wemme, Rhododendron, Brightwood, Government Camp, Zig Zag, Sandy, Estacada, Damascus, Boring, Gresham, Maupin, and Tygh Valley.
